PRP – Facial Rejuvenation

New Skin From Within

A non-surgical procedure to stimulate new collagen production and cell renewal for younger-looking, smoother and firmer skin.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial and skin rejuvenation treatments have recently been made famous by some of Hollywood’s top celebrities. These treatments, sometimes referred to as “vampire” facials, involve drawing a small amount of your blood and running it through a centrifuge to produce a serum rich in platelets and essential growth proteins. Used successfully for many years in oral, orthopedic and sports medicine, PRP has become an increasingly popular treatment for skin rejuvenation, hair growth, and other non-surgical, anti-aging procedures.

•  What is PRP for facial rejuvenation?

After applying numbing cream to the area, the PRP serum is injected by micro needling into your skin, penetrating the rich serum into the dermis and epidermis layers of the skin. Your skin thrives on nutrients in the bold: injecting the platelet-rich plasma will promote healing and circulation, encouraging the growth of new, healthy skin cells and stimulating collagen production. Some hair loss conditions cause hair follicles to shrink, producing thinner strands of hair. When the follicles close completely, hair cannot grow. Hair Follicles thrive on nutrients in the blood; injecting the platelet-rich plasma will promote healing and circulation, encouraging the growth of new, healthy hair.

What are the benefits of PRP?

  • No downtime
  • Improve skin texture and tone
  • Firm and plump skin Minimize acne scars and sun damage
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Tighten crepey skin around eyes, neck, and décolletage
  • No restrictions

• What is the recovery time for a PRP treatment?

You’ll feel fine, so you can go right back to your normal activities. You may notice some redness and tenderness the first day, followed by minor swelling the second day. By the third day swelling should be going, with just a rough texture remaining for a few days. A little make-up the first few days after the facial should keep your treatment a secret … but the coming results will be visible to everyone!

• How long does it take to see results?

You’ll begin to see a noticeable difference in just a few days. but because the essential growth factors are stimulating the skin to heal and produce new cells and collagen, it can take at least eight to twelve weeks to see the transformation: more youthful, firm, glowing skin. You’ll enjoy the results for one to two years; however, results can vary depending on each individual’s contributing factors.

• How safe is PRP?

The use of your own platelet-rich plasma has been shown to be safe and effective for all skin types for both men and women. Since your own blood is used in PRP treatments,  there is no chance of your body rejecting the plasma or reacting to foreign matter in the plasma. People with some cancers or blood conditions such anemia may not be good candidates and should talk to their primary care physician before undergoing PRP treatments.

PRP VS DERMAL FILLERS

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a serum made from your own plasma and injected in broad areas of fac, neck, and décolletage. PRP stimulates the body to procedure its own new tissue and collagen for fuller, tighter, smoother skin and tone. Results last one to two years.

Dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane are gels made from hyaluronic acid, injected directly into the problem area to improve wrinkles, thinning lips, and hollow areas under the eyes, temples, and cheeks. Results last six to twelve months.
