World Cancer Day – February 4th

Today, we come together to honour and remember those affected by cancer and take action for a future free from this disease.

This year, we’re raising awareness about skin cancer—one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Early detection saves lives.

Is skin cancer 100% preventable?

There is no sure way to prevent melanoma. Some risk factors, such as your age, natural skin color, and family history, can’t be controlled. But there are things you can do that could lower your risk of getting melanoma and other skin cancers.

Prevention is Protection

  • Wear a broad spectrum mineral sunscreen daily (SPF 50)
  • Seek shade and wear protective clothing
  • Avoid tanning beds
  • Check your skin regularly for changes
  • If you notice a new skin tag or any unusual spot, see your medical practitioner immediately.

Together, we can make a difference. Share this message and help spread awareness!
